The annual labor day walk across the Mackinac Bridge will see extra security this year. The captain at Port Sault Sainte Marie has established a security zone stretching one quarter mile on each side of the bridge for the annual labor day Mackinac Bridge walk. The security zone will be enforced on Monday from 6am until 3 pm. All vessels planning go under the Mackinac Bridge will be restricted to 12 miles an hour or less.
