ARTICLES: "The following are excerpts from an interview with former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohammad, which aired on the Islam Channel (U.K.), on August 23, 2006. The interviewer is former Sunday Express (U.K.) journalist Yvonne Ridley [1], who was captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001 and who converted to Islam after her release.
According to the Islam Channel, its vision is to present the "Islamic perspective" and act "as an interface between Muslims and non-Muslims to remove the misconceptions people have about Islam." The channel also intends to be "the world's choice among international broadcasters for authoritative and impartial Islamic information" and to target the English-speaking Muslim community in the U.K., which it states is 1.5 million in number. ARTICLE SNIPPET: "We sure are polite as we continue to march toward our graves, and of course we saw the last few weeks the amazing commitment to that polite walk to our deaths by District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor who ruled that the National Security Agency’s wiretap program was unconstitutional and ordered it stopped. Of course the administration has plans to appeal the decision. Never mind that the Brits used exactly those same tactics forbidden us by the very polite Judge here to stop the major attack on 6-10 international flights. This judge must be severally traumatized at the obscene abuse of power and denial of liberty by the Brits. Wouldn’t it be SO much more polite to have allowed those suspected of terrorism to walk and let 3-5000 flyers be blown into a million pieces? At least, no profiling would have been done or rude listening in on phone sessions. Think of the mental health torment the Brits have caused over there.
We currently have a nation that seems quite suicidal and horrified about doing what it might take to actually stay alive!"
