Wierd. CNN interviewing a Queen Noor (of Jordan?) but on the bottom of this screen is typed the description:
"Her Majesty, Queen Noor, widow of His Majesty, King XXXX."
Sorry, but I am an American and will never refer to anyone as "Her Majesty" or "His Majesty." Just wierd.

That is my fear. You don't insert a small force to take on the Hez. in their stronghold. The length of the operation and "unprecedented" air cover indicate, to me, that the Israeli's have been unable to extract their soldiers. Air power alone will not hold back Hez. from capturing or killing those soldiers. I fear that the soldiers will all be killed or Hez. will end up with more Israeli prisoners.
same here in the DC area - my central air conditioning is too old I guess and not good enough to handle this because I can feel it straining. I have fans on too!

When we didn't see you on the Sunday threads or the Middle East thread...I thought you might be in Saudi Arabia..you had said you were going there...I didn't know if there is a problem posting from there or not.
Hope your stay is a pleasant one...and when you get back on a more regular schedule...you will join us again sometime.

My husband thought he heard thunder (how he can hear anything over the basketball game is a mystery) so I just went out too and it's hot as can be.
I don't mind losing power in the winter because we have a fireplace and can stay warm, but I really don't like losing the ac in the summer.
