same here in the DC area - my central air conditioning is too old I guess and not good enough to handle this because I can feel it straining. I have fans on too!

So do we, even though we have a new AC unit. Two years ago our AC went out and we went all summer without it. Fortunately it wa a cool summer. I am afraid if the weather had been like this I would have decamped to my sister's.
I am hanging around a little later to see what happens in the Baalbeck area.
