"i believe in the scriptures of the end times, damascus is leveled and uninhabitable for just about that... i am not sure of the reference... i'll have to look it up... not in revelations... though..."

I believe that is in Isaiah 12 but dont have bible with me. All biblical prophecy seems to specifically pertain to Israel & the Middle East, except Revelations which talks about a global war and tribulations to all of mankind.

One won't be much global economic impact. Three in one country will ripple out for years. Any more than that will change things forever.

The U.S. should send the Syrian army the same place it sent the Iraqi army - to Hell, then PULL OUT.

Let the fools stew in the wrecked debris of their nation amid the ruin they have brought upon themselves. Let the fools from France or some other idiot nation worry about paying for "reconstruction."

Then we should do the same thing to Iran.

Don't forget Mecca, Medina, Riyahd...Saudi Arabia is THE number one source of Islamic evil in the world!

I do not think that the U.S. would allow Israel to bomb Saudi Arabia without a good reason.

It sorta sux to kill the Christian Syrians, but they are not smart enough to leave, so be it! If they are true Christians, their suffering will be small and they will ascend to Heaven while the Muslim swine burn in the lake of fire.

I have a relative who is married to a Christian Syrian and she hates me because I have a pro-Israel stance.

One would cause oil to shoot up over the $100 barrel mark overnight and oil drives everything else. Real bad news is bad for stocks, one or three nukes at the same time is about the same effect to our markets.

The difference is that three would put any modern country down for a long time. One would cause disruption for a time. Difference is how long. I wouldn't worry about $100 a barrel since there will be rationing as well as martial law.

I was watching Modern Marvels the other night and they just built the first ever GPS guided artillery gun/shells. No where to run, no where to hide.

Even with GPS guidance, you'll only get within a few meters of the target. Laser designation (with Copperhead guided projectile) works well if the antomospheric conditions are possible.

What's less appreciated is that in the old days, a really good 8" (203mm) howitzer crew, with a good tube, registered, good data on the met, powder, etc., a good FDC and first order survey, could reliably put a round in a target the size of a largish door. (Specifically, an inert round put through the door to the Blockhouse on Signal Mountain for all you Redlegs who've been to the Commanche County Cannon College) - I first heard about that from a guy who was there during WWII, but I saw demonstration batteries put 8" rounds on specific car/truck body wrecks out on the range in the mid-1970s.

I agree with that assessment.

"I would lay off half my staff and hope to ride out the global economic storm..."

Yes, maybe you are right. All you have to do is listen to some of the survivors of Ground Zero on 09/11 to hear how, in an instant, priorities change. I think priorities changed for a lot of us in the US. Alas, for some that shift was temporary. I hear what you're saying. We own a small (very small) business. Life would DEFINITEly change, but...we'd be alive. To me, it's worth the risk. Just my two cents.

He's probably trying to tell them that "THE MEDIA IS COMING!" "THE MEDIA IS COMING"

(The media ARE coming?)...hmmm.

Gotta study.

That picture appears to be of a Minuteman III bus, with the RV's attached. It is in the "coast" phase, before seperation.

Correct??

Amazing what they overcame when it was necessary. Of other interest in WWII was the fuses they designed for anti-aircraft to explode when it neared an enemy plane. They had to use radio waves and vacuum tubes.

The big one seems to be coming and a lot of people will lose their lives, but humanity will go on.

Woof! A real life atomic bazooka! A ten ton yield - I never thought yields could go so low!

I bet the M-388's shelf-life was terrible.
