My money is being very quiet. It will not talk to them at all. It will not ever touch the palm of their hands...

This is one of the reasons that I continue to be a Jimmy Buffett fan, despite his liberal leanings. I wouldn't even know about his politics except from reports of to whom he has contributed. He never brings it on stage.
I seem to remember in 1996, during Bob Dole's campaign, Jimmy would change the lyrics to Margaritaville in concert to "It's all Bob and Newt's fault".
No wonder most of the musicians I like these days are dead. . . Stan Getz, Bob Wills, John Lee Hooker and Bill Haley haven't trashed Bush lately that I've heard!

willie is a proved tax cheat, a known self identified dope smoker and a general liberal scumbag. Aside from that, why he's "jes' a good ole country boy". Please willie just shut up and sing, if that's what you call what you do these days.

I went to a Toby Kieth concert.......my twin sons bought me the ticket for xmas....they knew I loved his music.......he seemed like he didn't want to be there....and I had just learned he was an unapologetic Democrat....I told my sons it was a great concert....but I was disappointed........
To: WestTexasWend
Show business would be so great if you didn't have to keep the damn audience happy.

"Not really a good singer. A recognizable voice and guitar pattern yes."
Good songwriter, though.

If he is a dim (Toby), I am glad that I forgot his name! I despise dims almost as much as I do terrorists... as they are very close to being the same animal!
Thanks to all that took the time to inform me as to the author of the song!

I would suggest caution to Wille lest he wind up on the same Dixie Chicks off-ramp to oblivion...
If you want to run off at the mouth about the President, do it here, not in a foreign country.

Willie Nelson is a very good songwriter and a pretty good singer. That's about it.
To: LibLieSlayer
If he is a dim (Toby), ... Not even close. You should get his CD "Angry American" even if you don't like Country Music.
This is a picture taken of the audience at Keith's last concert....I think this will give you a good idea of who Toby Keith is and what his political views are.
To: txroadkill
That is good news. I was responding to another Freeper's statement about Keith's leanings.
I am happy to hear that bit of news! I have listened to Country all of my life, and spent some time in Nashville to boot. I listen to Jazz, Blues, Motown, Fusion, Rock, Folk, Classical, Swing, Ethnic (Irish, Cajun, Reggae etc).... I even like Sinatra!

I'll take your word for it. Maybe it was a joke, or maybe he was being political that one time. In my experience, I've never witnessed it, and I really enjoy his shows.
To: WestTexasWend
Maybe a year ago, I was channel surfing and came upon a recent live appearance by Willie on HD-Net. It was utterly pathetic. He TALKED, not sang, the songs. I couldn't believe people sat through it. It was incredibly bad. Anyone else seen it and know what I'm talking about?
