Certainly can if they choose to, as they have been attacked continuously from Lebanese territory, and as they go into that territory in defense, their choppers can take defensive countermeasures to being fired upon. Remains to be seen what they will do, however, "politically". More interesting, still, what were their choppers doing in that location? Would like to hear.

I'm confident they weren't just sightseeing in the Bekaa. And how interesting that the Lebanese army considered it necessary to involve themselves in the fray to defend that positionl and keep the Israelis out.
