Israeli combat soldiers walk along the Israeli northern border with Lebanon. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pursuing a new round of Middle East diplomacy as the Lebanon conflict moved into its 19th day, with Israel and Hezbollah exchanging firepower and threats in defiance of international moves toward a ceasefire
I love Ollie! Get Alan, Ollie...get 'em!!!!
I can understand the thinking at Captain's Quarters...
IF this 24-48 cessation of aerial rockets from Israel...for humanitarian reasons works..THEY are the humanitarian ones, instead of Hezzzies...and we have all been told that the Hezzies "take care of" the Lebanese...
BUT, NOW the Israelis are the humanitaritan ones.
THEN, if there are no attacks by Hezzies...then don't they look like the WIMPS!! Letting the Israeli's call the shots...RE: the stoppage of fighting??
Hannity up. Let's see if he has enough brainpower to do a decent show here.
but first... are you still sipping Riesling? Pinto Grigio here
What? No fresh basil and balsamic vinegar?
pinto = Pino LOL
Step away from the bottle....
LOL....I am both...I am VERY friendly...but I ate my pizza at the computer.
I like the captain's thinking on this
How many Jews did Hitler kill before the world took notice or even cared. Nothing shocks me anymore.
I know!
WOW...yet another great link...thanks Dutchgirl!
It is that sense of power that drives some -- and the vanity of hatred that drives more. Truth becomes immaterial to them.
May it be as CQ says. CQ shalom! (To use a ham pun.)
May G-d remember his sense of humor.
Amen

I don't know what you are asking about...about the UN.
I think we're going to see signs of harsh words between Bush and Condi.
I think we're going to see continuing ground ops.
I think the first sneeze out of Hezbollah opens the floodgates from above.
I think the IAF is using the stand down to great advantage, as suggested by another poster.
I think this standdown take the Muslim street out of play, globally, momentum-wise, anyway.
I don't know anything though, just what I hear and read.
We'll know more tomorrow.
