Perhaps Lebanon goofed by shooting at Isreal helicopters...because NOW the Israelis, and I am sure the Americans are going to be more determined to check that area out.

As I said Fri night I thought Olmert was hoping W would call for a cease fire to give him cover but it didn't happen so this will do just fine.

He does appear quite normal. I am riveted by this interview with the ex-hostages; eager to hear what they have to say about the present situation.

It is now over. We have failed due to weak leadership and Israel once again caves to the world.
Israel is going to stop the air war for 48 hours, the knees are weak and the back of the government is bending.
Rockets still fall on Israel and we are going to stop using our airpower. If we replace the air power with 30,000 troops and 400 tanks then maybe all is not lost. But a suspension of the air war while rockets still fall shows how weak we are.
The fact that Olmert came to this decision in a meeting with Sec. State Condi Rice show that America has said enough.
This shows how weak America and Israel really are. Iran Syria and Hizballah have played the west for fools.
I now fear for the future of the west and the long term ramifications of Qana on the war on Islamic terror.

- Cnn reported that Condi was going to give a statement from Israel tomorrow morning their time to outline the sequencing of a more permanent ceasefire etc.
This puppy is over on one condition. Hizbullah stops the rockets. It doesn't even have to give back the soldiers, those will be negotiated for later. I can't believe this is happening. Olmert/Peretz = peaceniks = out of a job soon. If Hizbullah stops and the IAF resumes ops in 24/48 (whatever) hours i will be shocked.
