Israeli combat soldiers walk along the Israeli northern border with Lebanon. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pursuing a new round of Middle East diplomacy as the Lebanon conflict moved into its 19th day, with Israel and Hezbollah exchanging firepower and threats in defiance of international moves toward a ceasefire
Excellent question.
But did you hear the juicy goodness that two were shot and one may be the head of Islamic Jihad? (On TV) Boy that's unbelievable... but would be pleasant. I wonder if, and if so, when this happened. May be a misreport, I couldn't hold it in any longer.
The clock is ticking.....
Good, now I hope that the rest of the Freepers do it.
Any one? Everyone?

According to FOX...24hr-humanitarian....at least at this moment...who know what they'll say in 10 mins.
She said humanitarian - with no mention on Cana.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani issued the call following the Israeli airstrike that killed at least 56 Lebanese,
mostly women and children, in the village of Qana. It was the deadliest attack in nearly three weeks of

reference to the United States. (AP)
Once again, Iran pulling strings.
Can they really believe they can succeed by going all out, regional war?
Maybe three weeks ago, but we are wide awake now, if Iran is planning to move, it will be a martyr mission now.
Are you sure those aren't the same Islamic Jihad folks that were killed Friday(?) in Gaza?
All I can say is: crap.
That is not the word I used here at home....
Kirstin Powers (Dem strategist) just said, "It's crazy for Israel to lay down their arms. We all know what will happen. Israel didn't start this. Israel doesn't target civilians, they even warned those people in Qara to leave the area."....
Pig...out my window.
I read an article that said Yammouni or Yammouneh is Northwest of Baalbeck... not how far though. Also read about that past history of income to Syria and Hez via heroin and weed.
Sigh. Who's going to make the Hezbos cough up their civilians? And what if there are some who don't want to leave? All this will do is give the Hezbos a chance to recoup. I hope there's some sense behind this decision because I surely can't see any at the moment. Maybe something at work behind the scenes that's about to put paid to Hezbollah.
State Department now saying the suspension is for 48 hours.
Jennifer - saying the 48 hr (now) is for airstrikes, not for retaliation of attacks on them.
just said investigation
Apparently both.
Haaretz is now saying 24 hours for the civilians to leave, 48 hours for an investigation.
