Israeli combat soldiers walk along the Israeli northern border with Lebanon. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pursuing a new round of Middle East diplomacy as the Lebanon conflict moved into its 19th day, with Israel and Hezbollah exchanging firepower and threats in defiance of international moves toward a ceasefire
How many countries drop leaflets to tell THE ENEMY to get out of the house or the town? How many countries CALL THE ENEMY ON THE PHONE, to tell them to get out?
Have we not seen time and time again, the Arab terrorists hiding behind women and children? Have we not seen the false "Jenin" accusations, time after time?
Why is it that the world media, including the US media, portrays Israel as the aggressor? And why do sheeple believe it?
You're right...I also can't take it anymore.
All a cease-fire will do is allow them to re-arm.
Those are beautiful...and a great sentiment behind them...I just wish I could wear necklaces...it is a long story..but I can't...darn it.
I asked the question earlier. When they drop the leaflets to warn civilians, aren't they also warning the hezzies?

I think everyone is finding this breaking news and dogging the web site. For those who haven't heard:
Lebanese troops fire on 4 Israeli helicopters preventing their landing in the Bekaa Valley.
You got three sources on that, unconnected?
The town the Lebanese claim that this happened near doesn't seem to exist.
Second time this has happened.
I think it's a code of some kind, for global distribution.
Yes....VERY interesting considering that is THE one location that I most want the Isreaelis to get boots on the ground.
Your a good soul Peach
"I asked the question earlier. When they drop the leaflets to warn civilians, aren't they also warning the hezzies?"
Yes, absolutely. You know the Hezzies will never do such a thing.

Snip:
Hezbollah has its political leadership well hidden in the tightly packed suburbs of south Beirut, while its main military command is split between bunkers near Ba'albek and safe havens in Syria.
Its training bases are mostly in the Bekaa (Biqa)Valley and include; Ain Bourday Base (South of Ba'albek) - guerrilla warfare training. Nabi Sheet Base - guerrilla warfare training. Ba'aIbek Homs Road Base - guerrilla warfare training. Wadi Firsan Base (in the Hermel, Bekaa Valley) - terrorist training, long-range patrols, observation techniques, anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapon techniques. Wadi al-Yammouneh Base (edge of the Jbeil mountains) - terrorist training. Nabeh El Assi Base (Hermel, Bekaa Valley) - terrorist training.
Asia Times propaganda... yet full of ops goodness, interesting.

Mine had all stitches...under eye, over eye, knees...but the worst was his ruptured appendix...he was in hospital for 3 weeks.
I just read a couple of posts identifying the town you were looking for. On another thread, if I remember correctly, they indicated it's in eastern Lebanon. In fact, there's some national park named after the town.
I'm listening to how bad the Eagles are going to suck this year LOL Like that's not depressing me also.
Are Jordan and Turkey included in Arab countries? They seem to have normal relations with Israel.

Lebanese Army Opens Fire on IDF Helicopters

(IsraelNN.com) Lebanese army soldiers opened fire on IDF helicopters attempting to land in the Bekaa
Valley Sunday night and prevented them from landing, according to Lebanese sources quoted by Reuters
News Agency.
The helicopters flew away without damage after apparently trying to land Israeli soldiers near a town in
the area. It was the first reported firing by the Lebanese army on the IDF since the Hizbullah terrorist war
began July 12.
Israel has said it will not attack the Lebanese army on condition that it does not aid Hizbullah terrorists.

(see what happens when I go outside to work on the sprinklers?)
Every report cites "Lebanese sources". That's not three unconnected sources, that is one source, biased.
There is very little common sense for Israel to be running spot SOF raids right now, with one possible exception, against a WMD facility.
Until other sources back this up, I have a big question mark attached to it.
Yes, but it's a political, PR, and legal move. If this were say, Africa, it wouldn't matter. Makes it really hard in a court to say that Israel didn't warn folks to move out of the strike zone.
Snip:
In the Bekaa Valley, the location of the terror military bases is:
· 1- Ain Bourday Base (South of Baalbek): training camp for general guerilla warfare.
2- Nabi Sheet Base : training camp for general guerilla warfare.
3- BaaIbek Homs Road Base: train General Guerilla warfare.
4- Wadi Firsan Base (in the Hermel, Bekaa Valley): Main activities taught at this base are guerilla warfare, survival warfare, long range patrols, observations techniques, anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapon techniques and so on.
· Missiles and chemical weaponry smuggled before the war from Iraq to Syria is believed to be buried and hiding around this base in the Bekaa Valley.
5-Wadi Al Yammouneh Base: This terrorist Base is located between the Bekaa Valley and the upper moutains of Jbeil. Activities are Guerilla warfare, anti tank and anti aircraft weapons, and other terrorist skills.
6- Nabeh El Assi Base {EL ASSI RIVER} ( location -Hermel, Bekaa Valley):
This base is a covert base disguised as a fishing farm. The main activities in this base are marine and underwater guerilla warfare techniques, demolition techniques, and general training for close combat and weapons techniques and skills.
These bases are used to train Palestinians from the PIJ (Palestinian Islamic Jihad) and Hamas. The trainees are mainly Lebanese, Palestinians Syrians and Jordanians, most instructors are Iranians, members of the Iranian intelligence, Palestinians (from the PFLP-GC) of Ahmad Jibril and Lebanese (from Hezbollah). All these bases are in the Syrian Army controlled area..
