I have seen this in several places. It is good that this gets exposure, but so late it will not do a lot of good politically. People are too sick of the war to be energized by this.

During their tripe, those truck drivers were stopped and asked frequently by the intelligence officers...

Mmmm...tripe.

The first deductions about what the convoys streaming across the vast western desert in Iraq toward Syria were hauling, were correct. Hammering along day and night, fully loaded west bound, dead-heading on the back haul.

Even the destination was known - the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon.

From there, the vast preponderance of the weaponry was spirited out of the country and dispersed, to reduce still further the possibility it would ever be traced down.

Ah gee, and I bet that "oops" attack on the Russian diplomatic convoy leaving Baghad for Syria, had NOTHING to do with this intelligence..

Way back when.... many FReepers thought Syria was the destination of choice for Saddam's WMD. From time to time the release of this type evidence brings more credence to our early contentions.

Some of us,including, yours truly, feel the biggest story about the WMDS is not where they are and how did they get out of Iraq.

The biggest story is how did the left wing MSM, left wing politicians and other pro Islamofascists in America and the rest of the world, know that most if not all of the WMDS were no longer in Iraq when we invaded Iraq.

The answer is simple. They were told by friends of Saddam that the WMDS were out Iraq. So they knew before any of us knew.

The world knew that Iraq had these WMDs before our invasion, and even the Clintoon thugs told us for years about them.

GW and Putin probably worked out a deal, where Russia got those WMDs out of Iraq with financial help from France and the PRC and maybe Germany. The last thing those 4 countries wanted was publicity about the massive amounts of WMDs and WMD tech know how, Iraq bought from those 4 countries.

A$$ad has been quiet since then, and as others have noted, reasonably quiet about the current shootouts between Israel and Iran's and Syria's proxies in Lebanon.

Krazi Khadafi has apparently come over from the dark side. Don't be surprised if A$$ad has or is in the process.

I have been posting this question for close to 3 years, about how did the MSM and Rats on the left know so fast there were no major WMDS left in Iraq?

In a decade, we will probably find out that there was a combined effort to get those WMDs out of Iraq before we invaded Iraq. That did two things:

#1. The countries, who had sold the WMDS and Tech know how to their buddy $addam were protected.

#2. What everyone is losing sight of, is the most important, the WMDs were not used on our warriors and allies during the Iraqi war.

GW probably used #1 as a motivator to get the WMDS out of Iraq to protect #2 Our warriors who invaded Iraq and our immediate allies in the Middle East. This is typical stealth diplomacy which GW's administration has used for years to silently win in big issues.

If you were to take a dozen liberal weenies and set them on a WMD brought out of iraq, and blew it up, in 2 seconds they'd be in hell saying, "That lying George Bush, there werent any WMD."

Here is more "food" for thought about an ongoing investigation and some recent revelations about a site that contains four concrete bunkers with WMD's according to Dave Gaubatz. According to Gaubatz "fresh" WMD were buried under the Euphrates River near Nasiriyah, in southern Iraq. He and other federal agents (civilians) identified, with the help of some local Iraqis who are now in the US, four separate sites where WMD were buried, and to date no one has even bothered to check them. Links to various articles. You need to follow all to get entire story.(bold emphasis added)

http://www.antimedia.us/posts/1154092408.shtml

This article will show the incredible lengths that Dave went to in an effort to get the sites in southern Iraq investigated. Despite overwhelming odds and an extremely skeptical attitude by many, Dave plowed on, agreeing to interviews, making presentations and calling Congressional offices, trying to find someone who would listen to him.

You must read the links provided by Alexandra for the whole story, but basically four sites in southern Iraq now have documented chemical and biological weapons found.

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=23576

On July 27, 2006, Senator Rick Santorum was interviewed by Sean Hannity. Senator Santorum announced there have been suspected WMD sites in Iraq that were never inspected since 2003. He went on to say WMD has now been confirmed at some of these sites. Sean Hannity put Senator Santorum on the hot seat. He asked him why have the WMD not been retrieved if it has been confirmed.

Senator Santorum stumbled and could only say the Administration has confirmed WMD is at a location, but could not explain to Hannity why it hasn’t been retrieved.

As you all know I have written recently about David Gaubatz, an ex-intelligence officer, and former special investigator for The Pentagon, who has been trying for three years to get the American weapons inspectors and the media to listen to his claims that no less than four sealed underground bunkers in southern Iraq are believed to contain stocks of chemical and biological weapons.

Finally now, and after three long years of fighting to get the truth out, my friend Antimedia, informs me that the U.S. have positively identified WMD at the sites,

I'd like to believe this is true, but with the full force of the U.S. military coming into the region looking for one thing, the weapons, it doesn't make any sense that Syria would be willing to take them. It's like being in a car that gets pulled over and as the cop approaches, the driver hands you a huge bag of cocaine and says "Here, could you hold this for a minute."

For some reason the Bush administration wants to ignore this issue big time.

I wonder why?

American intel has long claimed to have seen these convoys streaming across western Iraq into Syria, and this provides a more complete picture as to what they did when they arrived.

I recall this being announced within the first days of the war, then pfffffft! Not a word about it since. Big time cover-up going on.
