Sounds suspiciously like the report of David Hasselhoff's arrest; without the pants stain.

He did back in the 80's after getting beaten to a pulp on a drunken spree, hopefully, this will be a wakeup call to get help and stay clean.

Nah. Look at what celebrities get away with

Not one that has been called a conservative. Hell I read today that Bruce Willis is now on the "911 was an inside job" bandwagon. This really sucks.

I was excited about his new movie, too. I've been a fan of his since I was 12. This sucks.

Look what he said about his new strange movie.

Gibson Inspired by 'Fear-Mongering' Bush

By WENN| Friday, May 12, 2006

Mel Gibson
HOLLYWOOD - Film star and director Mel Gibson has launched a scathing attack on President George W. Bush, comparing his leadership to the barbaric rulers of the Mayan civilization in his new film Apocalypto. The epic, due for release later this year, captures the decline of the Maya kingdom and the slaughter of thousands of inhabitants as human sacrifices in a bid to save the nation from collapsing.

Gibson reveals he used present-day American politics as an inspiration, claiming the government callously plays on the nation's insecurities to maintain power.

He tells British film magazine Hotdog, "The fear-mongering we depict in the film reminds me of President Bush and his guys."

I'd almost wonder, alcohol plus what else, if that's all he drank.

Crap. It's apparently true.

Ah, no. Get a grip. All the Washington Times piece does is report that this TMZ website is saying something. That is NOT a collaborarion!

What's even more funny about the TMZ article is that he was about to piss in his pants. I hope they got that on tape. That would make for a great segment on TV BLOOPERS or new artwork by Andres Serano called PISS GIBSON.

Mel is toast. Millions of dollars, superstar looks, having his own church congregation by invitation only, jets, limos...do these such as these parellel the life of a humble carpenter from Nazareth?

Reminds me of the arrogant "Q" from Trek. Perish the thought..

It doesn't take much to turn someone into a mean drunk. He shouldn't have gotten behind the wheel of the car.

I like Mel Gibson but this was stupid for a grown man to do, who should have had more sense.

I think just maybe he has a drinking problem. If so, I hope he seeks help.

It does make one wonder, doesn't it. Maybe his ego has gotten the best of him.

If the slimes and UPI are running with it, then they put themselves at legal risk, not to mention they run the risk of getting CBS'd over a fake memo. You can bet your posterior that they covered theirs six ways to Sunday. They have seen the real report or gotten the arresting officer to confirm it off the record. No way they ran with it if they weren't pretty sure.

Sources say Mee was told Gibson's comments would incite a lot of "Jewish hatred," that the situation in Israel was "way too inflammatory

I could see him getting the DUI, but this sentence gives this away as total bs. The Sheriffs department isn't going to give a crap about the situation in Israel. Also the first report wouldn't have ever contained every single word Gibson said during the arrest. It would probably be a bare bones probable cause for warrantless arrest report.

Well, I see what you mean... That he's a conservative and this would be the catalyst that allows the shadowy liberal powers in Hollywood to toss him over the cliff once and for all.

... Except for one thing: Mel Gibson has a grain silo full of golden Spanish doubloons. Easily over 100 million bucks, and that's just my guess. It's probably lots more.

Kinda hard to hurt a famed director with that kind of loot. If he makes money, they will deal with him.

The "private church" sounds like a bridge too far, but I'm not a Catholic and I don't know what rules they have about this. I think Rome is comfortable about it. As for the jillions of dollars, jets, etc. the standard evangelical answer is that consist in your attutde towards the stuff. Jesus says you're supposed to use the "mammon of unrighteousness" to "make friends" so that they may "receive you into your heavenly dwelling."
