It is a shame that someone who wanted to serve his country is now unable to. He kept his private life private and who ever this source is needs to come forward and be a man and stop hiding.

Our country is wasting to much money. The money being wasted to train new people as mentioned in the article could be going for better uses. I believe people should be allowed to serve their country if they choose to do so and are fit mentally and physically. There was no reason for this guy to be kicked out. DADT needs to come to an end.

He choose to defend and represent his country unlike majority of these code-pinkos and other left wing liberal anti-troops nut jobs out there.

Perfectly said. We all bleed red for this country, not matter what faults or traits we have. His willingness to serve shouldn't overshadow the fact that he likes outies over innies.

I agree, it'
s shame this policy even exists. If someone is willing to support our country by serving in the military, it really shouldn't matter from which side of the plate they swing from...la

I'm with you. It seems to me that the "Don't ask don't tell" policy should be more oriented towards those that blatantly disrupt.

Would you be comfortable showering within 2 feet of a gay person of your sex? Accepting gays in the military is no different than having co-ed showers. That's just the opinion of this one time lowly enlisted soldier.

This don't ask don't tell baloney was forced on the military by the Hildebeast's gang in 1993. The services fought it because homos in the military are and have always been detrimental to good order. Living and social conditions in the field or close quarters aboard a warship bear no resemblance to the 9-5, five day a week working life of the civilian world.

That said, the Sgt knew the policy when he enlisted. He received an extremely expensive education in a foreign language for free. He broke the regulations. If anything he should be fined for the cost of his education on his way out the door.

Uggg.. Obviously He DIDN'T keep his private life private as most homos can't. To me this is like putting a child molester in a room full of children. I am sure others could tell, as rarely have I seen a homosexual that didn't put out the warning signs. This makes our good service men have to divert their attention away from what our soldiers are for, killing machines for our country's defense.

"Don't ask don't tell" is a joke and gays have no honorable role in our tax paid services IMHO...

Don't bother with any homophobe defense tactics, I was genetically born to retch when presented with any thought of seeing those freaks in my presence. The same genetic thought occurs when thinking we even think it is normal to put our soldiers where not only do they have to fight the enemy, but the enemy within also.
