You're making an assumption - don't forget that in today's world, many 3 year olds are too "big" to fit in the cart.
Of course, that would mean, with the attitude of many here, the mom deserved to lose her kid becasue she let him get fat!

Do you mean to say one was in the seat and another was IN THE BASKET??? THAT is even more dangerous! Do you know how many kids fall out of baskets, or tip the whole thing over from standing up in it and trying to climb out? And, it only takes a second, and you can be HOLDING the cart and not be able to stop it from tipping over either. I've seen it happen numerous times (I used to work in retail).
The fact is -- ACCIDENTS happen..
Remember, those who live in glass houses...
This was a horrible tragedy, and no one here knows exactly what happened. Why are people so insistent on finger pointing at this time?
