They need to take a lesson from king hussein, and drive them completely out of Southern Lebanon...
Close off the area completely, drive the civilians out, smoke the bad guys out of thier holes, clean up the place, and then ONLY allow civilians back in through tighlty controlled choke points......
That is the ONLY way they can avoid a repeat of the 80's war. The question is, do they have the stones to pull it off??
They have not been given a choice. They either do it or fight a long term war of attrition that they do not have the population to survive.
Indeed they do, but they may have liberal politicians who are making things difficult in the Knesset. One would think that Israel's previous surrender of Lebenon and the Golan with Clinton and Albright and the UN ( 1559 unenforced )would have been a lesson. They need to go it alone if necessary and not listen to anyone other than security dictates.
