Folks, you will just not believe Timmy this morning in his efforts to prove, I guess, that the Prez is inconsistent because he doesn't ban all research, including private efforts, that use embryos. He is completely stuck on the issue. Will not let it go. The dems (whose faithful worker Timmy is) obviously think that this is a winning issue for them. I think they are making a mistake. They are going to have to lie and mislead (which they are good at), so the pubbies are going to have to stay out there on this and keep correcting the record.

Catholic guilt. As serious as liberal guilt. I bet Timmy was an altar boy as a child.

Prez is inconsistent because he doesn't ban all research, including private efforts, that use embryos.

All this talk about embryos this past week gives me the creeps. Plus I heard some Senator on Laura Ingraham, wish I could remember his name, but he convinced me that fetal stem cells were not the miracle cure they are purported to be. Turns out adult stem cells and cord blood were much more promising.

Then yesterday I saw Bush introducing some children and his statement was "these children were adopted as embryos". The point being to prove those embryos were human beings or like that.

All I could think of is how on earth someone adopts embryos? Is there, like, a warehouse of embryos somewhere that one can visit and , adopt?

I mean, yeah, vaguely I understand it but my shivers came from the knowledge that somewhere in this brave new world people can actually go shopping for babies instead of making their own. I am trying to adjust to this concept.

I think Bush is right on about fetal stem cell research and I like how he's been firm and forthright about it. We really don't need to go there and further there is no reason on God's earth why our tax dollars should support such research. People seem to forget that the man is not BANNING research, just denying federal funds for it.

Real simple Timmy, unlike you the President understand the legitimate limits of Governmental power. It is also the compromise position we have a society have chosen. He doesn't have the power or votes to block ALL research but he has done what is in his scope. He has prevented Federal Money from being used for Embryonic Stem Cells.

It is an interesting look into the difference in mindset between the Political Left and the Political Right. Apparently Timmy thinks a President can simply impose his will on the American people when ever he feels like it.

Hanging out on Free Republic really has been quite an eye opener. I never realized just how dumb so many of our Talking Heads in the political media really are.
