Josh Bolton always seems to be unflappable.

He reminds me of a friend of mine who used to work for my company.  Before he joined us he was in the Ford administration.  He's a Human Relations type and his specialty was setting up, staffing and running new organizations during their start up phase.  What he did for the Ford administration was to create a little group within the Energy Department called NEST, the Nuclear Emergency Search Team.  This is, as you probably know, a bunch of folks who carry geiger counters and guns and are told to assume that someone has planted a nuke, somewhere, so they should go find it.

When he joined our company (long before I did) he was involved in our HR group as a senior executive.  He got involved in a couple of very nasty labor disputes where there were literally death threats being hurled back and forth across the negotiating table.  My friend was the only calm person in the room and he was asked how he could be so calm.  His reply was to ask a question "are their any nukes involved?  No?  Then we can work this out."

Bolton appearing on the talk shows after having been thrust into the midst of the ongoing UN melt down is like a walk in the park.  No big deal.  Why should he get tense? <g>

Why does it bother me that Williams is the only panel member wearing an American Flag lapel pin?

By the way, have either of you heard Robin Williams bit about the invention of golf? Lots of swear words and one of the most bizarre "Scottish" accent, but also one of the funniest things I've ever seen him do.

You this one time then?

F**k no! Eighteen f***kin' times!

Brilliant bit. You can see it over at Youtube.com. Not for the delicate.

yep, I have noticed that one of the biggest differences in liberals is their irrational emoting in all things. They do not seem to be able to think objectively regarding any issue. They always take it to a personal level which indicates to me that it's more about "them" and "their winning".

Wow Samantha, you tell it like it is now don't cha!! Typical liberal mentality Do as I say, not as I do. It's been like that longer than I can remember. Same as with the wind generators off the coast of Nantucket. God forbid the Kennedy compound should have its' view interrupted.

I was talking a man whilst dad was seeing his doctor last Friday who does forces broadcasting and I think from our conversation he would agree with you.

It was quite refreshing to talk to someone who really gets it regarding the WOT and someone who whole heartedly supports Israel.

He acted like he was such an expert on all things military. Too many of these reporters/columnists/news-readers think they are experts on subjects.

Like Shep Smith opining. A more ridiculous waste of satellite link I have never seen on Fox.

"Prez is inconsistent because he doesn't ban all research, including private efforts, that use embryos."

Would it not take an act of Congress, a law, to ban research on embryos?

I did not state that first paragraph but I'll allow it is rhetorical. Thus let me state that I do NOT think that the Prez should outlaw private efforts at fetal stem cell research.

First, it's just plain Un-American to do that although I'd suggest that if the private sector does not take up the cause then perhaps it ISN'T the salvation it's purported to be. Things become less fuzzy when people have to put up their own money for such things.

Second, common sense dictates that such a law (and you're right, congress or state legislators would have to pass a law) would be darn near impossible to enforce. We have enough laws that can't be enforced. What, there will be federal officers stationed outside ever university lab and private medical officers across the fruited plain?

I say let the private sector fund it. They'll go for the easier and more sucessful of the two. They want to make money after all.

Tried watching some of MTP but cannot stand that look on fatty's face

Same here. It's what Bahbah called his 'frowny face.' Great description. There's also his pouty mad face, which is what his frowny face turn into when they aren't buying his intimidation. He only gets these faces for conservatives or those who support them.

Regarding England and the Internet from what I understand we have highest ratio of Broadband in Europe if not the world.

I only know 2 people who have the Internet who use dial up the rest of the people I know have broadband. There are some great deals to be got now on broadband in England often if you subscribe to their satellite services or mobile (cell phone) tariff you get basic broadband free.

#140, mware had a whole bunch of links to scads of detailed info about Adult stem cell Research and cord blood use being superior to ESCR. I will try to find it and link to it. There have been promising results with the Adult and cord blood in 72 known diseases and afflictions but not with the ESCR. The ESCR has resulted in tumors, but no cures for anything in humans. This is mostly about if you don't feel bad about destroying an embryo for Research, you will not feel bad about abortion on demand. They don't care about the Research and only try to legitimatize ESCR for Abortion sake. If they(ESCR projects) had the promise that the Pro aborts talk about, there would be all kinds of Private money thrown at the Research Projects. They would not have to ask for Government Handouts.

Juan wears the flag for those who don't know he's American, cause he doesn't often sound it. With the others, there's not a question.

That is why we are now hearing that President Bush can singlehandedly stop Hezbollah from bombing Israel, if he wants to. ---- Helen Thomas

How about that stupid Dem resolution that a "special envoy" be sent to the Mideast? Is that a slap in the face of Condi Rice? I really think the guy they want to nominate for the special envoy would be none other than Bill Clinton or some flunky of his.

Also, the other night I watched CNN and they had a woman on there. She's explaining how Hezbollah picks up the trash. Then her little girl came on, cute thing, and she said Hezbollah fixes the desks at her school.

Meanwhile I am screaming, not that I'm proud of this, from across the room...."GET A DAMN GOVERNMENT"!

I mean these people, I type this softly, simply don't have a clue. All across the planet we have governments who pick up trash and fix school desks. ELECTED governments. I am so sorry to be politically incorrect here, but I'm thinking we've got some genetically inferior human beings here.

Come on, we should have GANGS taking over as governments?

Like Tookie's CRYPTS, they should go in to New Jersey, start picking up trash and sponsor softball tournaments? And if the Crypts get a hair up their butt they just lob missilies at whoever offends them?

These Muslims really need to get a clue and I am, an American and sick of their stupid antics, really tired of all the rhetoric that somehow tries to justify this logic. CNN really, really tried but it just isn't resonating.

We're not STUPID out here in la-la land.
