You are correct that it was Democrat President Harry Truman who first recognized Israel. Maybe that's because he was the only President we had when Israel came into existence. Unfortunately President Clinton was the one who recognized Arafat; and President Carter was the one who recognized the Ayatollah Khomeini. Their record challenges your own record during the Viet Nam War for shame.
