Police have re-opened Union Station after shutting down train service and clearing the terminal.
Around 7:45 pm, an Amtrak Police Officer on regular patrol initiated an investigation after a piece of luggage was found unattended.
As a safety measure, all people were evacuated from the station and trains were being re-routed from the terminal.
Passengers may call 800-USA-RAIL or visit AMTRAK.COM for updated schedule information.

I was extremely disappointed (make that upset) that we supported him staying in his position after OFF was revealed. The man is a crook and anti-semite and what he has allowed in places like Sudan is unconscionable. Of course, the whole UN is pretty worthless, period... so did you miss O'Reilly's interview with Bolton?
I have a question for the TV watchers here.
Why do you do it?
You get a quarter of the news you'd get opening 4 text type ticker windows online, the news is late, often days late with TV's tendency to re-run old news, half or three quarters of your personal database is pre-filtered and pre-spun before you ever get to it, you are subjected to endless idiotic commercials, and you all seem to hate 99% of the commentators you are "forced" to watch.
The internet's a brave new world, with sources YOU get to filter, and ad blockers, and MUCH faster response on breaking news, how come you all choose to remain in the 1980's?
Is there something on TV that I'm missing? I'm not attacking, just trying to understand something that seems incomprehensible to me.
