Just Blame It on Bush (MUST read!)
Newhouse News Service ^ | 19 July 06 | James Lileks

You can't call this the Arab-Israeli war of '06, since some of the usual belligerents have declined to participate. You could call it World War III, as Newt Gingrich has suggested, but that annoys everyone who wanted the Cold War to be WWIII, never mind that we got it out of the way without a nuclear swapmeet. You could call it the Israel-Hezbollah War, but that lets Syria and Iran off the hook.

So let's just call it Bush's Fault. At least that's what Howard Dean proposes. The energetic head of the Democratic National Committee had this to say:

"Howard Dean is not a stupid man; he knows Iran and Syria are the real actors behind this game. But his words placate the Democrats' netroots activists who think Bush is stumping the country blaming the Hezbollah attacks on Max Cleland."

And this makes Howard Dean a very dangerous man.

I wouldn't use the word "moral" in the same sentence with "Bill Clinton."

Fine. If Israel eliminates Hezbollah, humiliates the fascists of Syria and lets Lebanon get on with the Cedar Revolution devoid of murder-gang influence, will that be Bush's doing?

Of course not. He doesn't have Moral Authority, like Bill Clinton.

hehehe

This suggests the Democrats belive the difficulties of the Middle East have the weight and consequence of a tariff dispute. This suggests they don't understand that Hezbollah's definition of "disarm" is blowing off Israeli limbs.

Worse (to me), it also suggests the Democrats would recognize Hezbollah as an entity that should be negotiated with; as something other than a terrorist organization.

The MSM and limp wristed democrats seem - quite disturbingly - to be wanting us to go in that exact direction. I believe we should continue "negotiating" with their lives. If you are a terrorist, e.g. not fighting under a state flag, we will find you and kill you. End of negotiation.

Good read.
Now, if the Rats really want to appeal to the religious right, they need to rework "It's Bush's fault" to something more forceful like "Look what Bush hath wrought".

Howard Dean is a stupid man. He referred to Russia as the Soviet Union as recently as 2004.

From the article:

...who think Bush is stumping the country blaming the Hezbollah attacks on Max Cleland.

I wonder if it was intentional that he used "stumping" and "Max Cleland" in the same sentence.

..... and this shows once again that Dean is a depraved and loathsome DEMAGOGUE who cares far more about pandering to his lunatic Deaniacs than about achieving genuine security for either the USA or Israel. This despicable twit needs to be hammered with his sick words, and every leading Demagogue needs to be fully exposed as pandering to the worst aspects of our political life.

Of course it's Bush's fault because EVERYTHING!!! is Bush's fault. I can't believe even a nitwit like Dean believes his latest statement, but apparently libs believe any dispute can be solved by constant verbiage. We'll forget the fact that every previous agreement has been defecated on by Muslim extremists. You know if only Chamberlain had been willing to talk with a Hitler a little more, well, no WWII. Yeah, sure.

So let's just call it Bush's Fault. At least that's what Howard Dean proposes. The energetic head of the Democratic National Committee had this to say:

"If you think what's going on in the Middle East today would be going on if the Democrats were in control, it wouldn't, because we would have worked day after day after day to make sure we didn't get where we are today."

Thank you for giving the opportunity to speak my mind.

I lost my job this past year. When Clinton was president, I worked in a prosperous enterprise. But in the last year, we had to close our operations. We simply could not compete with foreign labor.

This foreign labor worked for low pay under very bad conditions. They worked very long shifts, and many even died on the job. This competition could hardly be called "fair." I was forced out of the place where I had worked for 34 years. Not a single government program was there to help me. How can Bush call himself "compassionate?"

Far worse, I lost two of my sons in Bush's evil war in Iraq. They gave their lives for their country, and for what? So that Bush's oil buddies can get rich. My pain of losing my sons is indescribable.

While it is trivial next to the loss of my sons, I regret to say that I also lost my home. I simply had nothing left. How can Bush call himself a Christian when he neglects people like me? I am a senior citizen with various medical problems. I'm not in a position where I can begin a new career.

I was reduced to the point where I had to live in a hole in a ground, all because of President Bush. And when the authorities found me there, did they have any compassion for my misfortune and ailments? No, I was arrested. Mr. Bush, I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a compassionate man! I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you a Christian!

If I had any money left, I would donate it to the Democratic party. If Al Gore had been elected in 2000, I guarantee I would still have a job, a home, and most importantly, my dear sons!

Regards,

Saddam Hussein

Of course it's Bush's fault because EVERYTHING!!! is Bush's fault.

It's Bush's fault that Kerry was in Vietnam.

By the way, did you know that Kerry served in Vietnam?

Actually, Howard Dean is indeed a stupid man. A profoundly stupid man. All the way to the bottom of his shoes.
