I understand you are upset. But just to make sure you have your facts straight:

1) rebell_yell2 (RY2) is with the IMF;
2) the UN asked RY2 if he wanted to to get out via Syria twice;
3) RY2, being wise and not wanting to increase the risk to US Service Men should Syria hold US citizens as hostage refused twice.

This might be helpful to you assuming you believe RY2 was in Beirut to begin with. If your base of knowledge or "feelings" do not include that possibility then the above facts are moot.
