I agree with you. These kids seem too young. After their bar or bat mitzvah, ok. But let kids be kids.
As a Jew, I can tell you that the Jewish people have been defending themselves for centuries. These children are no longer children. When your lives are threatened and your homeland marked for annihilation, you grow up fast. I doubt there were children who remained children in the Warsaw Ghetto. All fought until the end. If the United States were attacked with rockets, like Israel is being attacked, our children would grow up quickly as well. Pray that never happens.
IMO, we can thank Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton for their helping create this disgrace.
I wonder how many of them have lost siblings, parents, cousins, etc. to terrorists? How old are kids when they first go into the military in Israel? Seems like it's much younger than our kds are.
Sounds therapeutic for for these traumatized children who are suddenly living in bomb shelters with missiles landing all around them.
They're too young to be Hezbollah missle targets.
They're too young to be told they are evil.
They're too young to see terrorist homicide bombers in their neighborhoods.
They're too young to carry cell phones simply to check and see if Mom & Dad were blown to pieces in the latest attack.
They're not too young to write prayers on an Israeli missle.
Sometimes circumstances dictate that kids grow up early.
