Well, as much as I support Israel in this conflict, I oppose what these children are doing. I don't believe children should be involved in this way.

Just as I oppose the Palestinians parading their children around wearing fake suicide bomb vests.

I agree with you. These kids seem too young. After their bar or bat mitzvah, ok. But let kids be kids.

While I see your point, I'm just not sure how I'd react if I was having to drag my children into bomb shelters 3-4 times a day and night. I'd probably want to do something to help them fight the fear.

"Well, as much as I support Israel in this conflict, I oppose what these children are doing. I don't believe children should be involved in this way."

I was born during World War II, so I was too young to participate in the way our neighborhood kids did. They collected papers, collected pots and pans, collected grease, went door to door with war bond fliers and collected pennies for penny drives.

Without a couple of years, some of those kids were Marines, soldiers, sailors and a couple of them were shooting at Nazi fights from B-17 gun positions.

And I think, without exception, they would laugh at you for your stand.

Didn't see The Patriot did you? Israel is their nation, they will be fighting for it someday. Unlike the Palestinians these children are sending the bombs off with words, not strapping them to their waists.

The enemy disagrees with you and vehemently insists on involving Israeli children. Israeli children are the preferred targets of Islamofacists wherever they can find them, schools, buses, kindergartens, discotechs, to inflict as much terror as humanly possible by killing the most innocent of victims. I think the preferred targets of Islamofacist aggression should be able to say and write what they think while they are able. Say and write what they think in hard words today, because they may be dead tomorrow.

It's time we recognized the nature of the conflict. It's total war and we are all involved. Nobody on our side is exempted because of age, gender, or handicap. The Islamofacists have stolen childhood from the world.

Those girls live in Kiryat Shmona near the northern border and are under missile attack from the terrorists. I would say this battle is a little more personal for them, wouldn't you?

They're already involved. They live there.

And actually this is a great way for them to feel more powerful in their daily lives.

I'm actually kind inclined to agree with you....

I always make fun of the mindless death cults in the West Bank dressing their kids up, so I'm a little leery of seeing this as a great PR move for the Israeli's.

But I'm not there on the ground, so it's just me 2 cents, just thinking of how this photo can be used against Israel, 'cause you know it will be....

You have a lot to learn about what it is like to live in Israel, how it is for Israeli children there.

You have good intentions, but this is a unique situation - these are probably parked in their village, and everybody they know, with few exceptions, has served or is serving in the IDF.

When they turn 18, they will be drafted into the IDF as well, as will most of their friends and family, with few exceptions.

The story is that the press goaded them into it. They provided the felt markers, encouraged the kids to do it, then took pictures.

See "The Effed-up Pictures Explained".
