I'm of two minds about Newt. He's articulate and intelligent...he's got the "vision thing"...but Lordy sometimes he's just over the top.
I like him...especially when he slaps Alan down.
Talk about heebie jeebies...I just saw the latest report on Fox about attack in Lebanon...and when I hit FR..I was PRAYING..it was back up.
MM...you and I may be the most disgusted with Newt..I haven't seen any other freepers that have posted much about him...but, like you, I am about to scream everytime I hear his "holier than thou" speech about what Bush SHOULD do...
I saw him once at a restaurant in Tyson's Corner (VA). He was there for brunch with his wife. I remember there was a wait to be seated and I had to tell the hostess who he was - she was going to seat him but he said he would rather wait up front for his wife.
He did the same thing during Katrina. Jumped right onto the TV and started griping about Bush's response. I haven't forgotten, and I can guarantee that if he shows his face in Iowa he is going to get some pointed questions about his behavior.
