The Soviets won in Vietnam, lost in Afghanistan, and conceeded the board in 1990.
In my opinion, Iran wins when they have nuclear weapons, and when we agree to any price for oil they choose to charge, including converting to Islam.
My response to that scenario would be "Not over my cold, dead planet."
