Then that may have been Fr. Biondi. He was supposed to speak at the Notre Dame graduation ceremonies. SLU is a Jesuit university. I could wish that a priest would be an example of courage and strenght and acceptance of God's will. I am sometimes disappointed. This may be one of those time :(
He might well have been responding first out of fear (I am not there..he is)...second out of "duty"..since didn't I heard the Pope come out against Israel?..and third out of frustration..that we haven't been able to even give an estimate of when they will get him out.
I will try to be more charitable...and assume it was at least one of those.
