Washington, (SANA)-
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Sunday described Israeli accusations against Syria and Iran as lacking evidences, saying that Israel should accept the previous agreements and abandon violence.
"Russia works with all the parties concerned in the region….the Arab League and the UN… to coordinate efforts and work to establish peace in the Middle East," Lavrov added in an interview with American TV Channel CNN.
"We are backing an immediate cease-fire… Lebanon has suffered long for the past half century and should not be thrown into a new disaster," the Russian Minister said.
He called for starting a "serious dialogue…. not only for the current crisis, but for finding a comprehensive settlement in the Middle East".
