when rebel_yell gets back I'm going to have to give a real talking to...when the State Dept puts out a travel advisory, don't go there...
Well, there also has been a travel warning for
Israel for quite some time.
The pre-war
Lebanon advisory told people to specifically exercise caution when visiting Hezbollah-controlled areas in South Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, the southern Beirut suburbs and the cities of Tripoli and Sidon. U.S. Government employees were forbidden from making unofficial visits to Lebanon without prior approval.

To: BurbankKarl
Bob Bevelaqua being a jerk on Fox now. Bring out the hook.

Rockets on Nazareth. Shouldn't this lead to demonstrations, embassy burnings, beheadings etc. A holy site of the largest religion in the world has been desecrated. Must count for more than a few lousy cartoons, mustn't it?

"Many of the long-range missiles that have hit Israeli towns
were launched from private homes, with families residing inside,"Now what would lead anyone to think they'd do something like that???

To relieve this pressure on Hamas in Gaza, and to aid Al Qaeda in the war, Hezbollah opened up a new front in Southern Lebanon. Their gamble was that Israel wouldn't want to deal with a two front war, and that if Israel invaded Lebanon that Syria and/or Iran (perhaps even Egypt!) could be drawn into this war. Agreed. But do you think Hezbollah made this call on their own or were they acting under orders from Iran?
