Israeli warplanes attack the Lebanese side of a Lebanon-Syria border post, Israeli Defense Forces say.

I hope we are getting ready to squeeze Syria from the Iraq side. Lots of troop movement towards Syria, planes and helicopters flying along the border, getting JSTARs in position, predator drone overflights, etc etc etc. Let them know they are between the ROCK and the HARD PLACE.
What better provocation for Israel to take out the Mullahs and their nuclear program by launching a massive nuclear strike on Iran. They will be condemned by many but that should bring to an end hostilities from outsiders.
Hey, leave their lovers out of this! :0)
Syria will be forced to divorce Iran and then Iran will be isolated, literally.
Iran's full of hot air and if Syria is targeted Iran won't come to their aid, they'll just yell more of the same,"Israel bad, US bad".
The only way Iran can directly strike Israel is with a Shahab-3 missile. Iran would have to move those missiles into position very close to the Iraqi border. Any activity like that would be noticed immediately and likely dealt with, given the current threats issued by Iran to Israel. The Arrow system is the Israeli equivalent of our Patriot PAC-3. I believe Israel is preparing for every contingency.
GO Israel! Pour the whole can of it on those stupid terrorists.
How many days has this war been going on now? It has certainly not been weeks. I guess instant gratification now applies to wars.
I have a couple of questions.....heard on CNN last night
Israel has a tradition of paying for/negotiating for hostages. Is this true?
Newspapers in Israel are calling for restraint.....Israel has gone too far. Who is saying this? Media or politicians?
Not well versed in scripture eh forYourChildrenVote4Bush?
What a shame.
I think the United States should join Israel and the free world and go after islamic terriorism wherever it is and just get it over with. these people need to know that we are not going to sit by and watch the world fall to Islamist extremists.
With what? They have no aircraft capable of reaching Israel, and if they did, they'd pretty much have to cross either Iraq, whose airspace is controlled by the USAF (and other coalition forces), or over the Persian Gulf, which is controlled by the USN (and others). Can you say, "Great Gulf Turkey Shoot"?
Iran might have missiles with enough reach, but most likely has no nukes to mount on them, yet that is. If they shoot chemical weapons or conventional HE, there will be no restraint of Israel by the US this time.
The air strikes, even up to now, are to make it possible for the IDF ground troops to go in to clean out Hizbolla.
Look for them to go all the way to Beruit, while everyone screams at the them not to go that far. They know they have to.
Hizbolla has to become a totally Syrian problem acting completly from Syrian soil.
Israel needs to seek U.S. and French assistance, including U.S. and French peacekeepers to come into Lebanon so it can leave.
Then Iran's ally Syria will be boxed in.
While I'm very confident Israel can prevail against Syria and Iran, it might go beyond even them. The last time around ('73) it was a very near run thing. Our USAF base went to a higher DefCon. I remember it well, because I couldn't take my folks on base, and that was their only visit while I was on active duty (well Mom visited one more time when our daughter was born)
Israel is right, kill more terrorists faster. Every country that considers itself civilized should be aggressively hunting down and killing as many terrorists as possible, whether they call themselves "insurgents", "miitants", al Qaeda, etc etc.. Doesn't matter, kill them as fast as possible. This will sadden the Democrats, the media and the academics, of course.
