Saddam Hussein's Iraq had weapons of mass death
Scripps News ^ | 7-14-06 | Deroy Murdock

Like chanting Buddhist monks, the president's critics repeat 100 times daily: "Bush Lied _ People Died." The "lie," of course, is that Saddam Hussein possessed Weapons of Mass Death. "There were none," Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., told colleagues June 21. "They were not there." Absent such munitions, the argument goes, U.S. involvement in Iraq is nothing but a blood-soaked misadventure unfolding on a collapsed facade of falsehoods.

Nevertheless, while the liberal press gently sleeps, evidence continues to mount that Saddam had WMDs, though perhaps not in quantities that would bulge warehouses.

"Since 2003 Coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent," states a June 21 declassified summary of a report from the National Ground Intelligence Center. "Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq's pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist."

Are these weapons old and inert? The Pentagon unit warns, "While agents degrade over time, chemical warfare agents remain hazardous and potentially lethal."

Absolutely! The antidote (when I was in) was either atropine or 2 pam Chloride. Same as listed on regular bug sprays.

You got me. The '04 election would have been a sweep if this would have been announced as soon as we found the things.

Thanks for the ping, Mark. A few weeks ago, Curt Weldon chaired a meeting about Iraq's WMD and one of the panelists was David Kay.

At one point, Weldon said he had read that Kay was quoted as saying that most people had more dangerous chemicals under their kitchen sink than were in Iraq. I thought Weldon was going to blow a gasket.

All the left's lies concerning the war have been demolished. It has been conclusively proven that (1) Hussein still had large quantities of wmds. Old or not, there were no use-by dates found on any of the shells. and (2) Hussein had extensive ties to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban including operational support. That is why the Dem elites and their lackeys in Big Media have been so quiet lately about "no wmds" and "no ties to Al-Qaeda". But don't hold your breath waiting for any apologies from the left. They'll find something else. They're experts at moving the goalposts.

So freakin very true. Always the goalposts moved. By doing this we have to redirect to insanity in our midst and try to penetrate that in order to convince. Not workin'Give them a few bucks just like dems do with morons.

I have a feeling that some from Saddam's REAL WMD stashes in Syria are about to be unleashed.

I can't think of another reason why Syria and Iran are trying so hard to provoke Israel. Reason being, they have something to fire back in what otherwise would be a losing proposition for them.

Dear Sir with acknowlegement of highlander and so many dear Patriots here who know and can document so much,I know and you know where this is going.
This was certainly a test and only the strong survive. There were definitely losses and grief all around and this is also learning. We become clear by death slapped in our face a new brutal understanding. The evil which has not convinced us is anything but evil, starts a fight. Renigs on treaties.Survives to kill instead using funds except to indoctrinate and buy weapons which have been fired. Were one to forcibly send a group of -rats they would find no evidence hamas did anything wrong at all.We may know about mobile missle launchers. We may know a few things BUT UNLESS YOU SPOON FEED THESE WHORES AND THEY BROADCAST EVERYTHING ALL OVER THE WORLD INCLUDING TROOP MOVEMENTS SO THE GOOD GUYS BLOWED UP AND THEY GET THE VIDEO THEY AREN'T SATISFIED.Mucho apologensio.

Your dad died not in vain. He along with all real heros, those with honor, we salute and REMEMBER. We don't remember their names and individual sacrifices in most cases. But we stand at attention and salute their honorable service.
Unlike the scum we current do battle with, often only having a twisted form of honor rooted deeply in things found to be repulsive in nature to the human heart, our men fight the good cause. One that is willing to free and protect the weak and needy.
Unlike the scum we currently do battle with, both in the arena of political ideology that have shown without doubt they are not patriots, as well as those that love to oppress others that are in deference to their way of life, we shall not allow to gain over us without the good fight.

Ultimately. It shall be shown without a shadow of a doubt, Saddam did have all forms of wmd's. The books shall go to print that describe in detail just how he accumulated these things over a period of some twenty years, and who sold him all he needed to build his programs.
The L/MSM whores know only to well that what they wrote for years prior to OIF was grounded in truth. Though Americans have an extremly short memory span for the most part, eventually the history books shall show what America and the willing coalition partners did was not only advisable in the affirmative, but essential to future security for America and to save lives. It is only a matter of time.
To many nations are now in cooperation on the WOT. To many nations recognize and now openly admit, Islamic facisim must be controlled. The tide is swinging to our side.
The main stream liberal world is going to find it harder to attempt to poo poo what is sitting in front of their noses away.
They are slowly loosing their hold on the minds of the common man. People have seen to much in the past ten years or so, to just accept what these jerks continue to spout.
The tide is slowly changing.

I have and they were escorted by plain clothed Russians and Saddam's Elite Guard...kind of overkill to deliver a pizza don't you think? Also, one of Saddam's Generals just came out and confirmed this. Of course, this will all come to light around the next presidential election. Until then, Republicans are doing the right thing by just sitting back and letting the Dems run their mouths. Also, it kind of makes it hard for us to admonish Russia for supplying all these weapons in one breath and then ask for their support at the security council when dealing with North Korea and Iran in the next.
