County Press ^

Should legislatures be allowed to outlaw flag burning?

No. Flag burning is protected free speech!

Yes. If burning my leaves on my property is not protected free speech then burning my flag on a public sidewalk certainly is not.

I figured burning a flag is a form of protest,

I figure burning something is burning something and has nothing to do with speech.

But, if you want, I hearby declare leaf burning to be a protest against petty Stalin wannabeee who gravitate to municipal code enforcement.

I also think that it should not be a crime if you put out the flames of a burning American flag with the bloody and bruised body of the POS who was burning it.

Exactly!!!! You would only be exercising your First Amendment right to speech, along with possibly preventing a forest fire!

I agree, as long as it is your own property, and is on your property, burning anything, is just burning anything.
