And I meant to say, you could well be right, given what they've been taught in the schools for the last 20 years. It just wasn't the sense I had from the book.
The author of that book was born in Iran but moved to California with her family at a very young age and that may have colored how Iranians related to her, since she's so westernized.

I understand that 100%. But why is the widespread public opinion that the Serbs were the aggressors? The Serbs were defending themselves just as the Israelis are now. Even Sen. Specter was the one that drew up the resolution authorizing air operations and missile strikes as part of a larger NATO operation. We must be fair, and now Kosovo will become independent. If we are going to fight Islamofascism we need to fight it everywhere and equally.
That is my hope, too. Syria as a *safe haven*..since WHEN?? OMG, this could get disastrous, for more than one reason.
