Seems stupid to have soldiers marching in tight formation if their intent is to show a nation's army/military strength...given the weaponry available to Israel and the USA today.

Let me give a more full account of what was said regarding a "hope" for war; this is what I went on to say:
Perhaps hope was the wrong word.
What I do not want to see is more of the same. Appeasement and restraint has not garnered more peace for Israel.
If a US soldier was kidnapped or killed on our soil and a president did NOT opt for all out war with the offenders, I'd be shocked and disgusted.

That makes sense. I think though, that Sharon got to a place that he believed if he didn't make some concessions nothing would ever change. But it may have been as much strategic as practical.

I think a lot of us did understand what you meant the first time. I for one had no problem with your statements.
It was a big banner on FNC just as I stated it. Not the scrolling banner at the bottom of the screen, but the big banner below a Fox News Alert.

EXACTLY!! This isn't a recipe thread with someone wanting to argue over vinegar based bar-b-que sauces or tomato based sauces...(although those arguments DO get pretty heated)...
This is about the possiblity of a WW starting in the Middle East...which, ever since I was little, I have learned is THE last place we want a WW to start, if you know what I mean.
As you have no doubt noticed...there IS another conversation going on, on this thread...that isn't totally related...HOWEVER, none of those posters are interfering with anyone...or FIGHTING! That is great...I can choose to read those posts or not...
