Reports coming in about IAF striking Beruit airport, if this is confirmed this is another sizable escalation. I think this article ought to be pinned.
CNN right now is showing Anderson Cooper talking about california forrest fires.
DEPLORABLE!
The biggest story of my lifetime, and they don't cover it.
Thanks for the updates. The lack of info is so frustrating.

Anyone care to guess what the oil prices will be by this time next week?
See my post 371.
Thanks for the kind words about the series. I believe the real king-pin enemy is, and remains the PRC. I believe that many of the dangers and potentials for conditions remnarkably similar to the series remain, sadly, in place. I pray we avoid anything like it becoming reality/
Sawyer or Tucker?
BEIRUT, July 13 (Reuters) - Israeli aircraft attacked a target in the Hizbollah stronghold of Beirut's southern suburb on Thursday, witnesses and a security source said.
It was not immediately clear what was the target of the raid in Haret Hreik neighbourhood which houses Hizbollah's leadership and media offices, the sources said.
I had Int'l Disht hooked up for my non-english-speaking mother-in-law. I already have Dish, but the International flows through a different satellite, requiring a second dish. So far I only have TV5Monde (French) on which I witnessed Jane Fonda saying that she regretted nothing about her actions regarding Vietnam, and after pausing said "Except for smiling in the AA picture."
$90?
Iran has a mutual defense arrangement with Syria. If Israel attacks Syria, Iran might move and give us the opening - not that we really need them to fight 2 fronts to win, but it couldn't hurt and makes them look foolish.
Apparently stock markets are crashing as we speak according to fox news alert.

You too! I was still awake this morning when news broke. Then, I took a four hour nap and am up all day and night again. I'm listening to Israeli National Radio in English for up to the minute details.
"It was not immediately clear what was the target of the raid in Haret Hreik neighbourhood which houses Hizbollah's leadership and media offices, the sources said"
Duhhhhhhhhhhhh
yes, he is still missing. The Israeli's took an interesting step today (yesterday). They appealed to the Intl Red Cross and the Red Cross asked Hamas to visit the soldier to make sure he was being treated in accordance with international standards.
Hamas says no to this.
This tells me 2 things:
1. He is either not well or no longer with us
2. Media hypocracy is demonstrated again, for the last week we have heard about how the US is "abusing" detainees, they need lawyers, follow the "rules, blah, blah,,
yet not a peep about this action by Hamas refusing to allow the Red Cross to do a 5 minute check of their Israeli soldier hostage. ( who is in a recognized army in an identifiable uniform with a chain of command...It's all the basics for Geneva protections...but the libs don't care about this story.
Not to mention waking up one morning and saying, "Hey, what happened to the Sphinx"?;)
The biggest story of your lifetime was 9/11. Second biggest was the night they danced on the Berlin Wall. This one doesn't yet make the top 10--but it might yet.
Katyusha Rockets Striking Many Northern Communities
08:20 Jul 13, '06 / 17 Tammuz 5766
(IsraelNN.com) Katyusha rockets on Thursday morning have landed in and near many northern areas, including Rosh Pinah, Margaliot, IDF Northern Command Headquarters, Machanayim, Tzfat, Machanayim Airport, and Moshav Mishmar HaYarden.
Next week heck. I'm glad I filled the tank today; guarantee it's up .50/gal by the time I leave work tomorrow. Funny how costs get passed down the refining system in minutes, though savings take weeks.
