Secretarys of State always "urge restraint" in public. You want our Secretary of State hopping up and down yelling "go get em! Annihilate! Annihilate!"?

Well yeah, it's a nice fantasy but...

Unfortunately, I agree. No point in analyzing the success of the left in Israel, but Olmert is the result, and Israel will pay dearly. Condalezza's comments are a sad continuation our State Department's policies. The liberal press, in Europe and the US, and the UN represent Islamic interests. Beyond the rhetoric there is the reality that I will not trust an Israeli government and its weak leadership with the lives of my children who are almost of age to defend the country of their parents. Nor would I ask American solders to risk their lives to protect a society which hasn't the will to protect itself. Olmert and his acolytes are surrendering their country, giving it away for no profit, and forsaking the only strategy which has kept Israel habitable - the certainty of a terrible price for anyone violating the safety of the Israeli people.

I'm going to predict Middle Eastern War. This will trigger it.

What makes you say that? Tanks will just blow off some bridges and there will be airstrikes and that'll be about it.

I doubt that Israel will invade Syria.

It was my first gut instinct. I think it will escalate into it. If they do not hand back the soldiers, Israel will put pressure on Hizbullah by bombing positions in Damascus and possibly even Tehran. It is pretty serious, Israel don't take these events lightly as we all know. It is only my prediction.

Israel Invade Syria - certainly not - bomb the cr_p out of Damascus which is world headquarters for the Hamas god-fathers and most other global terrorist organizations - very likely IMO

Good point. 25% possiblity, IMHO

It would end up just another 6 day war which would end up humiliating Arabs even more.

I agree with you, and they will invade Syria if they decide to retaliate.

I don't even see this story on Foxnews.com! Uh, news is a 24 hours business. They have always been very poor on live breaking news coverage.
