Get Rid of ElBaradei - The MSM is trying to cover-up this story
various sources | July 11, 2006

This is a BIG story.

If you haven't read about this, you should. None of the tv news programs are covering this, including FOX. I was hoping Brit Hume would cover it this past Sunday, but I don't believe he mentioned it.  (correct me if I'm wrong)

U.N. Nuclear Chief Pulled Inspector at Iran's Request

BY ELI LAKE - Staff Reporter of the Sun
July 10, 2006
URL: http://www.nysun.com/article/35728

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency effectively fired his lead Iran investigator this spring at the request of the Iranians, according to a new report in the German newspaper Die Welt am Sonntag.

The lead inspector of the 15-man IAEA team in Iran, Chris Charlier, told the newspaper that the IAEA chief, Mohammad ElBaradei, agreed to a request the Iranian government made, and relegated Mr. Charlier, a 64-year-old Belgian, to office work at the organization's Vienna-based headquarters. The Iranian request was reportedly made when Mr. ElBaradei visited Iran in April.

The news could have explosive consequences for America's policy of entrusting Mr. ElBaradei to negotiate an end to Iran's uranium enrichment. In 2004, after intelligence reports found him coaching the Iranians on the intricacies of the nuclear nonproliferation treaty, the State Department launched a campaign to prevent Mr. ElBaradei, an Egyptian, from running for an unprecedented third term as IAEA secretary-general. That campaign failed after other countries expressed their support for him.-snip-

Mr. Charlier told the German newspaper that he believes Iran is hiding elements of its nuclear program. In comments that echoed U.N. inspectors' during the 1990s looking at Saddam Hussein's arsenal of weapons of mass destruction, he said, "Wherever we went, whatever we did, they always followed us, monitoring us with video cameras and capturing every single one of our conversations. Never letting us out of their sight for a second, watching everything over our shoulder. ... How the devil were we supposed to rationally do our work?"

A spokesman for the IAEA yesterday would not comment on the story. Die Welt wrote that officials from the organization confirmed the key facts of the piece and asked the newspaper not to publish it. One of the reasons the officials gave was that it would harm the work of its inspectors on the ground.

Mr. Charlier found this explanation lacking. "Just conceding, without any need, to the extortion of Tehran, by itself puts an end to a working basis. This has de facto ended even a half-way rational inspection of the Iranian nuclear program by the IAEA," he told the newspaper.

This demonstrates that El Barardei's office is incompetent and/or corrupt.

Yes, it's been posted. But it seemed like many people missed it over the weekend and/or yesterday, and I wanted to bring it to more peoples' attention.
It's getting NO airplay on TV.
And that's really terrible.

Is he a Muslim?... He behaves as if he wants Muslim countries to be full members of the nuclear community, for blackmail purposes.

You know, its about time someone finally put the world into perspective (Coffee Anus and Al Bar-aday be damn). If there is going to be a UN, it has to be run by a WHITE male, with no particular religeous affiliation. The world needs to recognize that Arabs and blacks (hold your accusations of racism) in todays world have proven that they can not be in charge of a democratically elected government and serve its constituents well.

[Ducking] Okay, enlighten me where black or muslim (maybe UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait?) rule has resulted in freedom, capitalism, and conservative family values. I'm even going to include the bastions of liberalism - Detroit, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Newark NJ, Camden NJ, Gary IN., .....you name it in the USA, if its a failed inner city area, the Democratic party has ruled, and you'll more than likely find that black polititians have aided and abetted the democratic political machine to keep blacks down. I'll don my flame retardent jacket, but someone had to say the truth.

I've always thought it insane to put a guy named Mohammad in charge of anything having to do with nuclear weapons.
