Nah, they're just trying to sell burgers (or in this case, iced coffee) in a particular neighborhood. Their employees, legal or not, already know about the
cafe fria... ;>)
How about this one? How about, McDonald's is simply pandering, because much of their workforce is drawn from the illegal alien invasion horde?

I have no problem with private businesses using Spanish to attract a growing economic bloc. I'm sorry this is an immigration thread. Rational thinking is not allowed.
Please ratchet up the hysteria or find another thread.

""In the Mexican Congress, it was recently announced that a document would be drafted, to show support for the protest marches in our country.
The Mexican government published advertisements in leading American newspapers calling for the legalization of illegal immigrants in the United States, and "a far-reaching guest workers scheme.""
You never get this info on the news. Never!

Liz, do you live in New Jersey? Do you realize that this is a PRIVATE BUSINESS and has the right to advertise as they see fit?
This issue aside, Lonergan is a horse's a-s, btw.

Gee, I know many Hispanics who own their own businesses. I see more Hispanic-owned businesses than black American owned businesses. Yeah, those "millions of Latinos" are living off the government teat, aren't they, Cletus?

"My ancestors were Irish and Native American. Neither spoke very good English, actually. But they learned to speak the language, and didn't have their hands out for government assistance, or demand that we adopt their cultures, or demand to fly their flag. They blended into America as Americans. No hyphens, just Americans. The sooner people stop referring to their hyphenated ancestry, the sooner they become a part of this great country."

What is the name of the "proposed" Hispanic region currently called California, Arizona, New Mexico, etc.? I need to find that map. I think Porterville may know where it is...

"Ladies and Gentlemen, what this means (the immigration bill) is a transfer of power, it means control, and it is the young people, the people who are now moving to develop an agenda for the twenty first century they are going to be in a position to really make the promise of what the Chicano movement was all about in terms of self-determination, in terms of empowerment, even in the terms of an Aztlan...."

I remember as a teen, our school bus broke down on a trip to Porterville. Thankfully, we broke down near Fresno, rather than in that rathole town.
