IMO, it's never been about winning campaigns. It's been about increasing name recognition so that people will donate to all the PACs and other organizations.
But an interesting thing has occurred on this thread.
Before I saw it, I had complete respect for Simcox and admiration for the MM. When I watched Simcox himself on the video, I simply wondered why he was stonewalling revealing his finances, and stated that it bothered me.
Now, after your behavior, your rudeness, your lies, your absurd accusations of my being part of some evil pack, and your blind allegiance to Simcox and refusal to answer even the most basic questions, I have become convinced that he is guilty as charged.
In other words, as an independent thinker who came on this thread believing Simcox was a good man and this was a hit piece, you have now convinced me that he is guilty.
I'm not too sure that the man should think of you as a friend. No one who behaves as you have behaved on this thread is innocent, and the presumption is that the man he is 'defending' with lies and name-calling isn't innocent either. After reading your posts, I now believe that Simcox is a dishonest man.
You may want to think about that in the future.

There are several of them out there. Probably half the GOP field in 2000, and it could be that I'm being charitable on that estimate.
Many arguments and accusations are made on this forum when people draw incorrect conclusions from statements because they are in a defensive mode, or don't know the history of the person posting. I am guilty of that myself.
There are people here who literally hate President Bush. They hate everything about him just like leftists do. And they hate those of us who respect and admire him.
It is those people to whom I was referring..........not the people like you and me who disagree with him on individual issues.
President Bush is a Christian and lives his life as one. We are in a fierce spiritual battle for the soul of this nation, and having a leader who is moral and filled with integrity, and seeking to live his life for God and that makes certain people deeply angry........and they're not all on the left.

Don't feel bad there were a lot of us who were naive but this thread is fantastic it raised questions and gave answers that will be beneficial to all for next time we are solicited to give donations. Thanks to all who have delved deep such as Amelia, Howlin, onyx, Texasforever, and all who helped to make us aware of behind the scenes of fundraising, PACS, etc.
btw..........while you're at it, why don't you name a specific 'CINO' or 'blue blood' who is more dangerous than an Islamofascist or even an anti-American leftist.......like say, Michael Moore?
I'm presuming (perhaps incorrectly, but he never came back to defend his bizarre post), that streetpreacher was referring to President Bush as the enemy, more dangerous than bin Laden or Kerry, Dean or Kennedy.........but he'll have to come back and explain himself what he meant.
If you both share that POV, then you are no conservatives, that's for sure.........and it's very helpful for other freepers who ARE conservative (like me) to know it.

Perhaps you should take a look at his posts from last night and revise your description of how long he was here; I don't know about you, but 7 hours on one thread doesn't qualify as a "drive by" in my book.

Hey, I was agreeing that people ought to back up their allegations.
Personally, I prefer sources, citations, and links. I don't think that accusing people of being liberals, RINOS, open-border lovers, and such instead of providing evidence quite makes the grade.
