Tampa, Florida - Congresswoman Katherine Harris will visit Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. on Monday, July 10th to undergo pre-operative testing to remove an ovarian mass. The preventative surgery is scheduled for July 17th at Walter Reed.
Harris' doctor, Dr. John Eisold, attending physician to Congress said Harris' condition is low-risk for malignancy. The mass will be removed by the use of a minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical procedure. A biopsy will be performed following the surgery to establish if the mass is malignant or benign, and will determine the course for any subsequent treatment.
I know I am in good hands with the doctors at Walter Reed and am looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to my duties in Congress and hitting the campaign trail. I hope that women across the state of Florida and our nation will take this opportunity to ask their doctors about ovarian cancer risks, as well as ask them about breast cancer, and general women's health issues. It is vitally important for women of all ages to get annual physical exams, eat well, exercise, and follow the advice of their doctor, Harris said.
Harris Press Release
What--exactly--do you "wonder" that "God is trying to tell her?" Really, I'd like to know what you had in mind, rather than going with the misogynistic assumptions in my mind.
Sheesh.
Best wishes Katherine, we are pulling for you.

Prayers go out for Katherine. Hopefully, it's benign!
Just not her year.
Harris BUMP
I knew the Harris bashers were going to come out sooner or later. These people are lower than bird droppings.

Prayers up for this dedicated public servant.
What the heck does that mean?
Prayers for Katherine
One never knows, I have also read the same info as you have. My Mom, at age 60, who had 5 children had Ovarian Cancer. My friend at age 43, who had 2 children also had Ovarian Cancer. My Mom beat it, but sadly passed away from another type of cancer 6 years later. My friend lost her battle at age 44.
I think the most significant factor is not so much age as whether she has had menopause. None of us know that, but if I had to guess, I would say she is not. She's several years younger than the average age at menopause.
There should be a good likelihood of a benign result, just as her doctor has said.
Although I have never supported Katherine Harris's Senate candidacy, I still wish her a full & speedy recovery and so should everybody else.
One for the list.
Praying and bumping.
I just learned about her medial problem a few minutes ago.

Add my best wishes as well. Also mention that if she is at Walter Reed on a Friday evening, to see the DC Chapter folks at the gate.
