It's really interesting how liberal/leftist types decry Dubya and the GOP as leading the way to a theocracy, yet can't seem to identify a bone fide theocracy when one comes along.

Nothing...I repeat...NOTHING about this is written on either website for Human Rights Watch (hrw.org) or Amnesty International (amnesty.org). Pleanty of stuff about Iraq and Afghanistan and how horrible the U.S. policies are, but not a peep about Sharia Law or those who uphold it.

I feel sad for what I believe is the vast majority of Muslims in all these countries who find themselves under the heel of jack booted thugs. They just want to live a normal life and have the freedom that we all take for granted.

Think about it. If you had to - upon pain of death, literally - perform a certain act each time loud bells and announcements sounded 5 x's every day = what would that do to your life? They are robotrons who, literally, even have a long list of instructions on how to go to the bathroom. No Joke.
I hear we're going to give Somalia until August 20th to begin a nuclear weapons program. And if that doesn't work we'll have the U.N. require the transfer of technology from Tehran to Mogadishu by the end of the year. If we're lucky, New York will be a flaming crater by 2008 and we won't have to worry about Kofi Annan dawdling around Mid-Town with a handful of resolutions to hand out.
