Rules were made to prevent them from diversifying. Could you clarify this? I thought the employer match was ONLY in Enron, but what options did the employees have in where their 401(k) Pre-tax contributions went?

All I know was what was brought out in the trial. I spotted that when they (the execs) saw Enron was about to implode they imposed illegal rules to prevent stock collapse before they safely saw their own stock sold.
