But..but...Brian Williams said the discussion was over. All that was left was for the politicians to decide what to do about it.

I can't believe that anyone has to point out that Algore is an idiot. Isn't it patently obvious?

Why doesn't someone challenge all these rich airheads to live the way they argue every one should live. Give away their cars, private planes etc.
Move into very small houses that take little energy to heat and cool and, for good measure, stop heating and cooling their homes. This is just a start. There are many energy saving tactics that the rich elite liberals, including all the leftist hollywood jerks, could embrace that would let the world know they are serious about global warming being caused by man.
Until they start living the way they claim every one should, then I would say their hot air is the cause of global warming.

If you need any more proof of how effectively the left has been in suppressing debate on the climate change issue just note the fact that this is on Opinionjoural.com, not a straight news article in the paper.

The only consensus is that the earth warmed half a degree over the last 100 years. Claiming there is consensus on the doom and gloom crap is a bunch of bunk.
To: flixxx
Al Gore is wrong, his supporters are wrong and his political party is wrong.
When one of these loopy global warming freaks can explain how the USA is the only country who HAS NOT experienced the global warming noted in other areas (it could be from not being ravaged by wars over the last century so we could monitor the weather), or why the ice caps on Mars have accelerated their melting in a logical manner, I might believe it.
The answer is obvious to anyone not blinded by the environmental hoplophobes, guilt over the USA's economic success, direct Anti-USA sentiment or petty politics. Obviously, the sun is going through a cycle of greater heat output.
And I don't really care if sea levels rise 20 feet over the next 1,000 years and all the loopy muslims in Indonesia have to learn to swim in their burquas.

More recently, a study in the journal Science by the social scientist Nancy Oreskes claimed that a search of the ISI Web of Knowledge Database for the years 1993 to 2003 under the key words "global climate change" produced 928 articles, all of whose abstracts supported what she referred to as the consensus view. A British social scientist, Benny Peiser, checked her procedure and found that only 913 of the 928 articles had abstracts at all, and that only 13 of the remaining 913 explicitly endorsed the so-called consensus view. Several actually opposed it. Classic liberal propaganda technique. Make a claim unsubstantiated by facts to create a blaring headline. Be sure it will take some time to refute. By the time the refutation is made, it's already on to the next propaganda piece. And your bosses don't care - in fact, they condone such deception.

Given that the question of human attribution largely cannot be resolved, its use in promoting visions of disaster constitutes nothing so much as a bait-and-switch scam...There is a clear attempt to establish truth not by scientific methods but by perpetual repetition. An earlier attempt at this was accompanied by tragedy. Perhaps Marx was right. This time around we may have farce--if we're lucky. -Mr. Lindzen, Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Science at MIT.Sorry I'm dense, but I needed these last points to be spelled out.

I challenge any of these damn fools to identify any time in the billions of years of this planet's existance when it was not either getting warmer or getting colder. There is an exceedingly narcissistic current that runs through all this left-wing crap, and that is the notion that everything in the universe that changes changes because of us (humans in general, and Americans more specifically). It runs right along with Ann Coulter, I think. They've gotten rid of God and put ManWomanGirlBoyThing in HisHerIts place.

News Max has an article on this, this month. It says that this MIT expert got so mad about the bullying of scientists by Gore that he became a Republican. He has met with Bush and sais that Bush is the best informed leader in the world on the science of this issue. Too bad he is not a better writer.

It's all human arrogance.
They believe they are now God, and that it is they that control the way things happen on the planet, not God.
Algore couldn't even take care of his rental property in Tennessee, yet he thinks he can solve his alleged problem of "Global Warming".
These guys are desperate. Their wrong on terrorism, immigration, and now use "global warming" to gather the troops.
Sheesh!

"There is an exceedingly narcissistic current that runs through all this left-wing crap" I like the way you phrased that. I've said the same many times; but less succinctly.
