US Fugitive Arrested in Ottawa

A man wanted for crimes in Virginia and California was arrested last weekend at the St. Laurent Shopping Centre.
Ottawa Police say the man was arrested for trespassing at the east-end mall after being caught drinking an alcoholic beverage on the site and was told to leave.
Investigators used fingerprinting to identify the man as 41-year-old Robert Knott.
The American is wanted for crimes in Virginia and California.
He was arrested by the Canada Border Services Agency for being criminally inadmissible in Canada.
