"As for the graphic, it's a fire. Basic. That's the point of that graphic."
Agreed. But most jihadi images show the WTC burning in its "full glory" from a wide perspective so you can see the towering nature of the buildings. The background was positioned in such a way that almost the only thing you can see is the enormous flames and smoke coming out of one side of one tower (and you can hardly see the tower). It focused exclusively on the fire and smoke. It was different from most of the 9/11 images.
"As for the message, IN MY OPINION, it's probably a go signal for an attack somewhere in the world."
Absolutely.
"As for the 9/11 graphics; that's called pumping up the jihad base and get ready to do it again."
Yes. But the choice of Atef (Abu Hafs) and (an unshaven) Atta as the two faces positioned behind each shoulder of Zawahiri, and then going the extra mile in directly referencing the two in the speech with reference to the Kandahar meeting, is incredibly significant.
Every single frame of the jihadi video of that late 1999 Kandahar training meeting should be reexamined. There is something "special" about that meeting.

OPINION: I understand. The focus on that specific graphic is on the fire/flames itself and the message is simple there -- fire.
