That SCOTUS ruling may turn out to be a good thing

Except that it will require the US to treat suspected terrorists within the Geneva convention. That will cause lots of headaches in the future.

I do not know, however it seems that anything that applied to WW II (treason, tribunals, common sense) has left. This was all "undone" (my word) by the USSC interpretations during the 50's through today.

It is nice to have rights ... but applying them in such a broad swath seems to go against the Constitution and the Federalist papers interpretation of the time. Applying them in this manner removes tools and abilities to deal with terrorist, traitors and the like.

I don't think war has changed and we are in a war ... just the enemy and his methods.
