Gov. Jon S. Corzine closed the state government Saturday

Can they make it permanent?

Is not the Lotto a money making concern? Oh, I get it. The Lotto and road maintenance are important to people so he wants them to pressure his opponents to save these. i.e. IT'S ALL ABOUT POLITICS - not the good of the State.

... threatening to shutter beaches, parks and possibly casinos in the coming days.

Threatening to close beaches and parks over Independence Day weekend - this Corzine guy must be a real piece of work.

Gov. Jon S. Corzine closed the state government

A good start!

Follow-up to that should be a recall of all the current politicians in the government.

I wonder if the State Parks are going to close.

There will thousands upon thousands of really pis*ed off folks if Island Beach (shore), Worthington State Forest (Delaware Water gap) and Liberty state Park (fireworks) are shut on the 4th of July weekend.

Although Worthington might be shut already because of the Delaware River floods.

Democrats fighting over which taxes to raise, and destroying the tourism industry in the process.

"Services such as state police, prisons, mental hospitals and child welfare would keep operating."

All the State Police are on the Pennsylvania border confiscating illegal fireworks.

Corzine coughed up 80 million out of his on Wall Street amassed fortune for personal electioneering of N.J.'s Governorship.
Why is he not coming forward with such goods when it's for the benefit of people, or better: other purposes than personal ego satisfactions?

Corzine seems to be more of a tax and spend liberal than his fellow Democrats in Jersey. I hope he raises taxes till the state turns red.

I might be affected by this in about a year.

Good.

I'll wait.

Yeah, that'll show 'em, John. Stomp your feet a little bit and the people of New Jersey will love you even more. You're supposed to be the lead steward of the budget. Unhappy with your purchase of the Governorship, are you, Mr. Corzine? Who knows? You may end up being even more so. Remember THIS guy?

I think I like Jr Keans stock on trade sports. Maybe I will invest as Corzine looks more and more like Florio. I remeber how Whitman nearly beat Bill Bradly in very similar circumstances.
