You made the kid, it's your responsibility to care for it not someone else's. We made the decision that one of us would be home or available for ours until they graduate high school. Teens, in their own peculiar ways, need their parents just as much as toddlers.

Sure, if you mean they stay at home and NEVER LEAVE. However, some moms have killed kids on a hot day by leaving them in a car at the mall, or the grocery store. Unless the mom (and kids) "stay home" in a situation much like house arrest, there's still a chance of this.
