We have a sound permit, and we will be across the street from the New York Times. They are at 229 West 43rd Street. The groups on board so far are Free Republic, Caucus for America, the Congress for Racial Equality, and Protest Warrior, NYC Chapter. We have reached out to several other groups as well, and are waiting to hear back from them. Some high-visibility media people are interested in speaking at the protest. More information will be coming on this as we gather groups and speakers. So hold the date! If you have been as sick about the Times's unconscionable blabbing of our classified information as the rest of those who care about the nation, now is your chance to do something to make your outrage heard.
Cool!
Hi Raquel! Didn't see you there, but thanks to you & everyone else who showed up. Those counter-protesters were complete imbeciles, especially that woman on the bike with the whistle trying to drown out our speakers. These people are so full of hate & rage, they're out of control.
50!
It was definitely closer to 200 at the high point of the protest!
I think it was more than 200, all told, considering that some people got there late, some left early, some made only a token visit, really, or just came to check it out. All together it was probably more like 250 or even 300.
Thanks to all those who came, especially those who were deeply into the spirit of the protest, and shouted their lungs out for hours!
I agree! I replied with 300 on another thread but thought maybe my number was too high but I agree with you.
Is there an after action thread on this protest yet?
Yes, I saw you but when I moved through the crowd to reach you, you were gone (goes to show the amount of people there). You're absolutely right, the idiot on the bike was the worst!!
Yeah I know there were so many people come to think of it. Today's Post said "dozens".
If they counted at 5:00, that's probably right. At 6:00, it was many dozens!
It was a great event. Well done.
