Wow, she's cute. How many great people have been snuffed out for convenience ? How many cures will never be found? How many great scientists and inventors were never born ?

I hold Christians to a higher standard. Do you not?

Yes I do, and hiding being some false idea of what is Christian to excuse not fighting for the lives of unborn children is not Christianity. Remember judgement will begins at the house of God. If all of these "Christians" would have acted like Christians and voted pro-life , our nation, that God blessed us with wouldn't have murdered 50 million children.

I last saw Gianna when she was about 13 years old. It is fantastic to see that she has grown into a Godly woman who is still fighting the battle!

Why yes the are whacko baby killers! The very moniker of "pro-choice" is an oxymoron! That baby has NO CHOICE!!!

A fetus becomes a baby at the moment of conception.

There were plenty of ways to express themselves in a Christian manner. Anonymous mob violence and destruction of the property of others (who may have even shared their faith) over an issue of taxation is not something that I associate with the Christian faith. I'm sorry to learn that you do. Will you be firebombing an abortion clinic or a Planned Parenthood office if you feel inspired by God to do so?

They both lied and you know it. Maybe you feel there are different standards as to how to treat the unfaithful versus the faithful? Jesus weeps.

Now, please do me a favor.... don't post to me again.

You deserve no favors from me. And now you're exhibiting another behavior that doesn't seem exactly Christian to me. If you can't handle a civil counter argument to your point of view then you may find Freerepublic a difficult place to be. Let's just say that I'm inspired by God to witness for my faith as I understand it.

Just awesome! Wish we could've heard her song, as well. God bless her! May God use her to turn around some who have given lip-service to the other side, and now have questions, if not deep regrets!

Don't mistake being criticized for dishonesty for being persecuted for your faith.

"It was despicable," said House Majority Leader Alice Madden, D-Boulder. "Ted Harvey doesn't care about proper decorum or the rules. He just wants to push his narrow agenda."

It's different for liberals pushing their narrow agendas, because theirs are the CORRECT agendas.

I hope you are in church on the 4th of July patting yourself on the back for all your good works.

I will be thinking of you, as I thank my God, and my Savior Jesus Christ for our radical founding Christian fathers. And His inspiration for a Free nation , that I am very priviledged to be born in.

I will be working hard for a pro-life congressional candidate as I do every election year. If I could count how many times some so called Christian has told me how unChristian politics are?

"This is exactly the kind of stunt that gives Christians a bad name."

It's funny how Christians are the ONLY group I EVER hear about getting a "bad name" as a group from any behaviors seen as "bad"--and it comes up virtually EVERY time any Christian is being chastised for anything the one offering the criticism doesn't like.

This widely practiced exception to the Bigotry Rule is just one of the many proofs that Christians are held to a different standard than anyone else--which itself bears testimony to the spiritual warfare described in the Bible.

I guess I want a definition and taxonomy of lying. I haven't read the article carefully (but then I haven't accused an involved person of lying) but I don't recall a blunt, straight-up, intentional statement of something the speaker knew to be false, as you might say,"Lying in the first degree." I think there was misdirection and a certain amount of speaking in riddles, and I'm really not clear that's always wrong.

Further, whatever most pro-choice people believe, it seems that the law allows, and requires states to allow, and permits parents and fathers from being excluded from a position to influence abortion at any stage up to and including a few minutes after the birth of a viable infant.

And my impression, possibly mistaken, is that most pro-choicers don't want the law changed.

As to causes of CP, I concede that CP is not caused by one and only one thing and that we don't know all the causes.

Do you know, however, that anyone knows that the introduction of the saline solution did NOT cause this woman's CP? Do you know that know one knows that it did?

The whole mess is complicated, in this particular instance, though I think the morality is clear.

I notice that you didn't answer my question.

I will be working hard for a pro-life congressional candidate as I do every election year. If I could count how many times some so called Christian has told me how unChristian politics are?

You've just made my point. I have absolutely no objection at all to someone whose faith motivates their political activity as long as it is done in the full light of day in accordance with the laws of the nation.

"Following Jesus is what gives Christians "a bad name" (see Luke 6:22)."

Well said.

Christians are clearly warned that the world will vilify them. They will never get a fair shake, and in fact if they are "popular" in the world, should probably do serious self-examination as to what kind of job they are doing as representatives of Christ.

As long as a Christian is hearing claims such as "That's the sort of thing that gives Christians a bad name!" from the world he or she can probably sleep well at night, knowing they are serving well and merely paying the price that comes with true service.

You've just made my point.

That does not make your point.

I'll be back after church to argue my point some more.

(And to reduce the number of people who will ask me at what point a "fetus" becomes a "baby", I'll tell you my personal definition: The point at which the baby can survive outside the womb.)

Aren't you glad that your mother didn't decide to abort you?

Just because your opinion is a baby only becomes one when it can survive outside the womb doesn't make it so. That's a human life that is forming inside the womb.

It is the kind of attitude that reduces it from being a human being until born that is resulting in millions of babies being aborted each year worldwide. I guess it's easier to kill them when you don't consider them human.

The point at which the baby can survive outside the womb

SO you define humanity by the progress of medical technology at saving premature births? OR do you think we should leave them all to nature and see if the live or die before deciding if the are human yet? Or did you mean at the point where they can survive without someone or something performing the function of the mother? Then we can abort up to a few years old.

I am sorry but adjusting the point were you are allowed to kill a baby by a couple months does not relieve them of 'whacko baby killer' status.

Pro-abort types are willing to draw that line, and willing to move it around based on whim or new research. Pro-lifers say no-one should be allowed to draw the line and say 'you are human and you are not'. The point is not WHERE you draw the line. The issue is that you are WILLING TO DRAW IT and then kill a developing human based on it.
